Three ways into a Riddara.
One platform, three grades. Every Riddara runs on M.A.P, the first pickup platform Geely developed exclusively for new energy. What changes as you move up the range is drive, power, wading depth and how much of the intelligent driving suite is standard.

Dimensions
The measurements, drawn to scale.
Every figure below is plotted against the same scale, so the proportions on screen are the proportions on the ground. Nothing here is illustrative.
The battery pack carries an IP68 rating and the high-voltage system IP67, so the electrics stay sealed at the water line rather than relying on an air intake.
Turning circle is 6.6 m in long-bed mode. Ground clearance is 220 mm on the Aspire 2WD and 225 mm on both four-wheel-drive grades.
Lengths, all on one scale
Rated payload
Aspire 4WD. 1 115 kg on the Aspire 2WD and 1 030 kg on the Apex 4WD.
Braked towing
Both four-wheel-drive grades. 2 500 kg on the Aspire 2WD.
Torsional stiffness
A high-strength body structure engineered to shrug off twist loads on corrugated and off-road surfaces.
Battery armour
Metal armour over a dustproof and waterproof pack, with minimum ground clearance protected by design.
Platform
Not a diesel bakkie with the engine taken out.
Riddara developed M.A.P, China’s first native 100% electric pickup platform, validated over more than one million kilometres. It is built on Geely’s SEA architecture — the Sustainable Experience Architecture behind the wider Geely portfolio — expanded to integrate commercial and passenger vehicle capability.
M.A.P inherits SEA’s passenger-car refinement, a low centre of gravity, floor-mounted battery and silent drivetrain, and extends it with a pickup-grade frame, suspension and load path. A dedicated NEV architecture unlocks things a converted diesel platform never can: giant battery packaging, high-voltage discharge, millisecond torque split and an integrated safety cell.
4WD to 2WD switching
Millisecond-level switching. No torque converter, no manual diff-lock hesitation. The front motor disengages when it is not needed, worth a 6% reduction in overall energy consumption against always-on 4WD.
Brake-by-wire response
Approximately one third of a traditional hydraulic brake response execution time. Within the 0.3 g deceleration range nearly all braking is done by motor regeneration, so friction pads last longer.
Sealed drivetrain
IP68 power battery, IP67 high-voltage system. Dust-tight and protected against continuous submersion. A diesel bakkie can drown a starter motor; a sealed electric drivetrain does not have that failure mode.
Rear motor power density
An ultra-efficient rear 3-in-1 integrated motor, with optimised cooling for consistent power delivery under extreme conditions.
Charging and power-out
It charges. It also runs the site.
M.A.P is not just a chassis. The OmniPower stack handles charging, discharging, V2L and V2V, which turns a parked Riddara into a power source for tools, lights and equipment.
The two terms worth knowing
The bakkie becomes a plug point. A socket on the vehicle feeds mains power straight off the drive battery, so a grinder, a compressor, a set of site lights or a kettle plugs into the Riddara and runs off it. No generator, no fuel, no noise. On the Apex 4WD that socket is the cargo trunk discharge panel, rated at 6.6 kW at 220 V.
One vehicle charges another. Park up next to an electric vehicle that has run flat, connect the two, and charge moves out of the Riddara’s battery and into theirs. It is the electric equivalent of jumper cables, except you are handing over usable range rather than just enough to start an engine.

Discharge ecology, standard on every grade
Standby and driving discharge
Power out whether the bakkie is standing still or on the move.
Lock discharge
It keeps supplying while the bakkie is locked, so you are not leaving it open on site.
Charge and discharge at once
The pack can take charge in and push power out at the same time.
Intelligent Power Safety Protection System
Manages discharge, overheating and leakage protection across the high-voltage system.

Questions
The things buyers ask first.
How much does the Geely Riddara cost in South Africa?
The Geely Riddara Aspire 2WD is R611 900, the Aspire 4WD is R681 900 and the Apex 4WD is R781 900. Prices include VAT and exclude on-the-road costs.
How far does the Riddara go on a charge?
The Riddara Aspire 2WD is rated at 369 km on a 63 kWh battery, the Aspire 4WD at 390 km and the Apex 4WD at 424 km, both on a 73 kWh battery. All three figures are NEDC.
How long does the Riddara take to charge?
On DC fast charging the Apex 4WD takes 30 minutes at 110 kW. The Aspire 2WD takes 32 minutes and the Aspire 4WD 30 minutes, both at 90 kW from 30% to 80% state of charge. On AC at 6.6 kW, a 20% to 100% charge takes 9.3 hours on the Aspire 2WD and Apex 4WD, and 7.9 hours on the Aspire 4WD.
How much can the Riddara tow and carry?
Braked towing is 2 500 kg on the Aspire 2WD and 3 000 kg on both the Aspire 4WD and the Apex 4WD. Rated payload is 1 115 kg on the Aspire 2WD, 1 235 kg on the Aspire 4WD and 1 030 kg on the Apex 4WD. The cargo bed measures 1 525 by 1 450 by 540 mm on every grade.
Can the Riddara power tools and equipment?
Yes. Every Riddara supports standby and driving discharge, lock discharge, and charging and discharging at the same time, all managed by an Intelligent Power Safety Protection System. The Apex 4WD adds a cargo trunk discharge panel rated at 6.6 kW for 220 V, which turns the bakkie into a mobile power source on site.
What do V2L and V2V mean?
V2L stands for vehicle to load. It means the vehicle’s drive battery can supply mains power through a socket on the vehicle, so a power tool, a light or an appliance plugs straight into the bakkie and runs off the battery instead of a generator. On the Geely Riddara Apex 4WD that socket is the cargo trunk discharge panel, rated at 6.6 kW at 220 V.
V2V stands for vehicle to vehicle. It means the Riddara can transfer charge out of its own battery and into another electric vehicle, in the same way jumper cables move charge between two petrol or diesel vehicles. The Riddara supports both through the OmniPower stack on the M.A.P platform.
Is the Riddara a real off-road bakkie?
The Riddara Apex 4WD has 225 mm of ground clearance, 815 mm of wading depth, a 22° approach angle, a 25° departure angle and seven drive modes including Sand, Mud, Off-road and Wading. The battery pack is IP68 rated with 10 mm of metal armour and the high-voltage system is IP67, so the electrics stay sealed at the water line. The Aspire 4WD has six drive modes and 500 mm of wading depth, and the Aspire 2WD is rear-wheel drive with three drive modes.
Is the Riddara a converted diesel bakkie?
No. The Riddara is built on M.A.P, China’s first native 100% electric pickup platform, validated over more than one million kilometres. M.A.P is derived from Geely’s SEA architecture and expanded with a pickup-grade frame, suspension and load path. Riddara is a purpose-built brand rather than a diesel platform that has been electrified.
What battery does the Riddara use, and what warranty comes with it?
The Riddara uses a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, 63 kWh on the Aspire 2WD and 73 kWh on the Aspire 4WD and Apex 4WD. The battery carries an 8 year or 200 000 km warranty. The vehicle warranty is 5 years or 150 000 km, the service plan is 7 years or 140 000 km, and roadside assistance runs 5 years with unlimited mileage.
Which Riddara grade should I choose?
Choose the Aspire 2WD if the job is daily worksite duty, long-distance running or mobile power and you want the lowest entry price. It carries 1 115 kg and tows 2 500 kg.
Choose the Aspire 4WD if you need four driven wheels and the highest payload in the range at 1 235 kg, with 3 000 kg of braked towing and Sand, Mud and Off-road modes.
Choose the Apex 4WD if you want the full lifestyle specification: 815 mm wading, 110 kW DC charging, 4.5 seconds to 100 km/h, the 14.6″ screen, premium leather, L2+ intelligent driving and six airbags.
What safety equipment does the Riddara have?
Every Riddara has ESC electronic stability control, EBA brake assist, TCS traction control, hill hold and hill descent control, four-wheel disc brakes, reverse radar, ISOFIX anchors and rear door child safety locks. Airbag count is 2 on the Aspire 2WD, 4 on the Aspire 4WD and 6 on the Apex 4WD. The Apex 4WD adds L2+ intelligent driving assistance with 14 functions, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection and rear cross traffic braking, plus 540° panoramic imaging.
